LBC – Global Radio

In 2015 Global radio rebuilt LBC’s radio studio and made it suitable for high quality web broadcasting.

I created a 3D model of the studio showing how it would look once lit. The lighting system that I designed for the studio revolved around a custom made oval lighting bar. This ensured that the studio grade LED lights could be placed where they were needed, but sat nicely in the ceiling space in between the custom built audio baffles.

My Previous career as an installation electrician really helped on this project. I was able to specify all of the power and rigging requirements for the build and we created a really simple system that came in on budget. The lighting system is low energy and is controlled by the presenter via a touch screen.
